Braces treatment is a form of orthodontic treatment applied to properly position the teeth and jaw. It is used to correct various dental and jaw problems such as crowded teeth, gaps between teeth, and irregularities in the jaw bones.
How is Braces Treatment Applied?
In braces treatment, metal or porcelain appliances called brackets are attached to the teeth. Metal wires called arch wires are attached to these brackets. The arch wire allows the teeth to be moved to the desired position with the force applied to the teeth. Brackets and archwires are adjusted regularly by the orthodontist and the progress of the treatment is checked.

Types of Braces Treatment:
- Metal Brackets: The most commonly used type of brackets. It is sturdy and durable, but it is the most aesthetically unobtrusive type.
- Ceramic Brackets: They have a more aesthetic appearance than metal brackets.
• Lingual Brackets: These are brackets that are glued to the inside of the teeth. They are not visible from the front of the teeth, so they are the most ideal option in terms of aesthetics. However, it is a little more difficult to clean and use.
